ODE TO THE VEIL TALES: A comment on why these great fish have been assigned lower-class status.

Many of my fish are veil tails. Although the International Betta Congress has turned their backs on this variety, the IBC no longer supports them as a judged class, I personally believe that they are still one of the most attractive of fish. The graceful undulations of their long fins are beautiful and can be appreciated from across a large room. It's sad that the veil tails, which are largely responsible for kicking off all of the enthusiasm for bettas that we now enjoy, are so often looked down upon. We own them much and it's a shame that these once highly-regarded fish are now considered common and useless by the IBC.
