If you've fought and struggled and just can't locate the sword of glass, this page will help. You'll need to have huge strength and defense, goldplate +9, crown +9, Axe +9 red, green and gold keys all at +9 and all the spells and potions you can carry. You're venturing into an area that's hip deep in dragons and those guys are murder.
Your goal is to get into the area in the upper left corner (north-east corner) of level 8. Check out all the rooms in that area. You'll have to go through three doors each with a different color lock. The trick is that on map the last door looks like a solid wall rather than a locked door and therefore appears impossible to enter. When you finally find the sword of glass a very brief message will flash across the screen that you've won. (You may want to use the utility "wait" option to increase the length of time messages stay on the screen for this.) The same announcement repeats when you get back to the hotel.
